My name is Lynda Hardee and I am 72 years old. I have always tried to exercise and stay active. I met Debbie about two years ago and have been training with her a couple of times a week since. She is a motivator and pushes me to a safe limit every workout. I feel comfortable with her level of knowledge and experience to guide me in my exercise journey.

Over the past eight years, I have had two major upper and lower spinal surgeries. Debbie and I workout twice a week, and she has been a wonderful trainer to recognize and personally tailor my workouts to both enhance and to avoid movements that would aggravate my back pain. Her approach is not “one size fits all.” We do stretching, large muscle group movements, light weights, and use bands to accomplish a holistic style each time together. I highly recommend her expertise, experience, and patience to achieve your fitness goals.

​The reasons I slug to the gym change as I age. And I say “slug” because going to the gym is not my favorite thing to do. Face it. It’s WORK! Hitting the gym and weight machines were pretty low on my list.  But, I realize I need the strength, flexibility and balance to keep doing the things I love as I get older. Enter Deb. She took the time to learn what my fitness and functional goals were and has designed workouts that are helping me be “better than before.” Progress. Not perfection. Deb plans workouts that shake things up. We rarely do the same workout twice. I am consistently sore and sweaty, but grateful, after each workout. And when the weather is nice, Deb even designed a high-intensity-interval-training (HIIT) workout we do outside with hand weights because I love to be outside. Could I exercise by myself? Sure. Would I work at the same intensity? For me, that’s a hard no. Deb is the inner cheerleader (drill sergeant?) we all need. The little voice that says “Don’t cheat yourself. Gimme one more.”

Recovering from multiple joint replacements has been a real struggle for me. Deb keeps me motivated and challenged. By constantly changing the exercises and the executions she maximizes my benefits. After working out with Deb, you are tired and sore, but you recover quickly and feel stronger. You can see the benefits in your other activities  For me, I can kayak much further and faster thanks to the upper body workouts. You will definitely be healthier and fitter once you start a program with Deb.
